The four of us agreed to meet (we were staying at different Airbnb’s down the street from each other) at our rental car this morning! And when we did, we discovered that we could hardly fit everything into that tiny European car! But somehow we did it!
We arrived in Budapest, checked into our hotel, and went directly to a darling restaurant to try some Hungarian food. We LOVED it! Hungarian goulash is fantastic! We were all very happy campers!
Then off we went to explore! We found Budapest to be a lovely city, very clean, with beautiful majestic buildings and very soft spoken people. (Remember, we had just arrived from Italy, where the locals are loud and passionate! Everyone is quiet in comparison! 😂😂😂) We immediately FELL IN LOVE!
We waited patiently to board a boat for a tour down the Danube River. The weather was iffy (black storm clouds were hovering) but, luckily, the seats were under cover!
We boarded, got our drinks and were captivated by the beauty of both the Buda and the Pest sides of the Danube!
River cruise ships were docked all along the river. (Yea, Viking!)
It was truly a wonderful day in Budapest! We were so surprised by how much we enjoyed the city! Can’t wait to see more tomorrow! (Thanks, everyone, for your recommendations! They are much appreciated!)
