VINTAGE CAR TOUR, PRAGUE CASTLE, ST. VITUS CATHEDRAL AND MORE!

Our chariot awaited us this morning!  I mean, literally!  We decided to rent a vintage car to take us on a tour of Prague, and were we glad we did!  The morning was absolutely beautiful; our young Czech driver, Frank, was delightful; and the route he took us on was amazing!

We stopped at the Prague Castle, the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic.

Oh, what a ride it was!  A truly memorable morning!

Frank dropped us off at Old Town, just in time to see the Astronomical Clock do its’ thing!  (We were definitely not alone!)

The four of us loved the feel of Prague’s Old Town with its’ cute shops, cafes, and snack stands that lined the streets.

We stopped at one of the cafes for another authentic Czech meal.  It, of course, was wonderfully delicious!  (Have I mentioned that we have LOVED the food in the Czech Republic?)

We continued to walk (and walk and walk) and stopped to visit St. Vitus Cathedral.  The stain glass windows (as well as the church itself) were breathtaking!

We continued walking (and walking and walking) and soaked up as much of Prague as was possible!

Dark clouds and high winds came rolling in again, threatening a wild storm.  We took cover at a charming cafe where we enjoyed drinks and waited for the downpour!  Once again, it blew over!  (Were we lucky, or what?)

We found a street market where we looked over local artwork and trinkets…

…and the most beautiful fruit you’ve ever seen!

Later, we made a quick decision to take a dinner cruise down the Vitava River.  

Our welcome drinks were a shot of Fireball!  (Thought of you, Deb and Don!)

What a great ending to our time in Prague!  We walked back to our hotel (it was a 6+ mile day) and called it a night!

Ahhhhh, Prague, we will miss you!  (And, Matt and Val, we’ll miss you as well! 😢)
