GALWAY, IRELAND: DAY TWO!

John (the only one in our group that eats breakfast) enjoyed one that was fit for a king this morning!

Susan and I went for a walk along the water while John and Tim met up with a fellow Ingersoll Rand friend for coffee.  It was a GORGEOUS morning (I only had to wear two of my four-layered Ireland uniform)!

We came across a Golden Retriever named “Boy” who was much more interested in making friends with white swans than with listening to his owner!

John and Tim reconvened with us later in the morning and we decided to walk around town.  We were not alone as the streets of Galway were bustling!

We walked right up to this really cool building that turned out to be the Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven & St. Nicholas, commonly known as the Galway Cathedral.  WOW!

We hopped on the Big Red Bus and toured the city while enjoying the sunshine and relative warmth!  Ahhhh!  And this time, we could understand our tour guide perfectly!  The green of the golf course was indescribable!

The green throughout the city was indescribable!

We were told that the salmon were running in the river, however, this lone fisherman was all we saw!

Back home at the ranch, we all opted to put our feet up for a moment before heading back into town for dinner!

We chose McSwiggan’s for dinner and we chose well!  The food was out of this world!

Across the street, Irish music could be heard from inside this pub!  So in we went and we actually found an available table where we could watch and listen and LAUGH!  Have I told you that Irishmen are JOLLY?

Very thankful for a sun-filled, fun-filled Irish kind of day!
