FIFE, SCOTLAND!

We woke up this morning to SUNSHINE and a promised high of 62 degrees!  Hopefully, that meant I could shed one of the four layers I’d worn since we left Indiana! 🤣  Today we traveled north to the town of Fife, Scotland, home of St. Andrew’s Golf Club!

We waited for a cab ride to the Edinburgh Train Station and noticed it was trash pickup day!  Clever!

The train station was quite nice, with sunlight streaming in, decorated sheep, and another piano for random players!

Soon, we were off on our journey north to Fife!  The ride through the Scottish countryside was greener than green and beautiful! (Those were some mighty lucky sheep, I might add!)

We arrived in Fife about an hour before our check in time, so the cab driver dropped us off at a restaurant called The Saint.  Coffee, tea and lunches later, we were set to head to our next Airbnb.

We found it to be quite delightful!  (I’ll post photos later!) We threw in some laundry (hurray for not only a washer, but a dryer as well!) and headed to dinner at Swilcan Loft, a restaurant located right on the Old Course at St. Andrews.  The views were spectacular! Timmy was absolutely in his Happy Place!

After dinner we walked along the course to Rusacks, “the sought after playground for golfers worldwide.”  The after dinner drinks were great and the sunset was almost as good as the ones over the gulf on Anna Maria Island!

Have I mentioned that Tim was in his Happy Place?  Tomorrow should be this golfer’s dream come true!
