We set sail this morning for a magical four hour cruise down the Rhine River. OMGOSH, can you say CASTLES, CATHEDRALS, and LONGBOATS, oh my! It was a little cooler this morning with lots of sunshine—the perfect setting for a perfect setting!
Four hours later we arrived in Koblenz, where Yvonne signed up to tour a castle and John and I chose a wine tasting tour! Our motor coach took us up into the mountains past deep cliff vineyards. Whoa! They harvest these by hand and somehow the workers don’t fall down the mountain! 😳
We arrived at the winery where we did the tasting and found it delightful! We learned a lot and drank a lot!
We made it back in time for the Captain’s Cocktail Party for those that had cruised Viking before. And then it was dinner time!
John and I both agreed that it was a THUMBS UP kind of day!
Next stop: Cologne, Germany!
