We covered many more miles of Amsterdam today! We stopped for breakfast and watched the bikers pass by. AMAZING!
Bikers are given more room than pedestrians in Amsterdam! You better not get in their way!
We found the Hard Rock Cafe for John. And, guess what? He bought (yet another) shirt! 😂😂😂
After walking for what felt like a million miles, we stopped for a refreshment! Well earned refreshments, to be sure!
After walking another million miles along Amsterdam’s canals, we stopped for another brewski! (And a plate of liverwurst that was OMG delish!)
Finally we arrived at Ann Frank’s house just in time for our tour!
It was very well done. Sad. So so sad. Made me want to read her book again!
We had reservations at Sampurna, an Indonesian restaurant across from the Flower Market! No flowers at said market (maybe because it’s Fall?) but they had a zillion bulbs for sale!
The restaurant was absolutely delightful! Thanks sooo much for the recommendation, Karen Whiteside! We LOVED it!
We walked a bit after dinner, cuz we had A LOT of dinner
to walk off!
Coffee Shops in Amsterdam sell many things (catch my drift?) but not coffee! If you want a cup of Java, you go to a Cafe.
Bikes are EVERYWHERE in Amsterdam!
Before the night was over, we ventured into the Red Light District! It was NOTHING like I had imagined! We walked right past the windows where the girls stood, a mere foot or two away. UNBELIEVABLE! I tried to take a picture or two but was promptly told “no photos!”
Another great day in Amsterdam! Tomorrow we take a train to BRUGES, BELGIUM!
