We ventured up into the Black Forest today, on a tour to see how cuckoo clocks, (blown) glass items and Black Forest cakes are made! The drive into the Black Forest, through many tiny German villages, was amazing! As were the various demonstrations!
(A whole lot of alcohol goes into Black Forest cakes!)
We got a couple of pieces and gave it a try! Thumbs up all the way!
Yvonne was in Black Forest Cake heaven!
We were greeted back on the Mani with a welcome drink!
While Yvonne was booked on a tour, John and I opted to walk around Breisach and visit the Cathedral! Another vertical climb was in store! (OH DEAR LORD!) At least there were cool things to see as we made our ascent!
In case you were wondering, Google Translator, for the most part, is unbelievable!
We made it to the cathedral at the top!
Interesting fact: this green bouy is the dividing point between France and Germany. Almost 140 kilometers along the Rhine River acts as the border between the two countries!

These pics look like what I would believe Germany to be!! NICE!
